Terra Routes planning

Power, plugs & charging without the panic.

A compact check for plug types, voltage, adapters, risky devices, and charging reality before you travel.

Rule

Adapter changes shape. It does not change electricity.

First check

Will my charger work?

Look for the small input label. If it says 100–240V, the device is usually designed for international voltage. You may still need the correct plug adapter.

Higher risk

Hair tools need more caution.

Hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, electric shavers, and older appliances are the devices most worth checking before packing.

Socket types

Italy profile

Use this as a packing check, not as a replacement for the label on your own device.

Type C/F/L230V50Hz

Italy: common plug types are C/F/L, with 230V and 50Hz. Check your device input label before using heat tools or single-voltage appliances.

Type C

C

Type C: two round pins, common for many low-power devices in Europe.

Type F

F

Type F: two round pins with side grounding contacts.

Type L

L

Type L: Italian three-pin inline layout.

Adapter

Will it fit?

Check adapter compatibility before departure, especially with different home plug shapes.

Converter

Will it survive?

A converter may be needed for single-voltage devices that do not match local voltage.

Packing

What to bring?

A compact adapter, spare USB-C cable, and small power bank solve most charging problems.

Device reality

Not just the socket.

Charging becomes stressful when devices, old hotels, trains, and low batteries meet at the same time.

Phones & laptops

Usually fine if the charger says 100–240V.

Hair tools

Check carefully. This is where voltage problems happen.

Power bank

Useful for train days, airports, museums, and late check-ins.

Hotels

Older rooms may have few sockets or awkward bedside charging.

Trains

Seat power varies. Do not depend on it for the whole day.

Families/groups

More devices usually means one adapter is not enough.

Trip signals

Useful when the trip gets real.

Data note

Check before high-risk devices.

Plug and voltage profiles are useful for packing, but accommodation wiring and older buildings can vary. Always check your device input label before using heat tools or single-voltage appliances.

Planning system

Small check now. Smarter route planning later.

Keep the practical layer simple: check the destination profile, pack the right adapter, and save the bigger planning decisions for the trip workspace.
